Zusammenfassung:	The present bed rail includes a rail portion and base portion. The rail portion swings down from an operating position and then slides into the base frame between a mattress and a mattress support to come to rest in the base frame in a stored position. The rail portion includes outer and inner frames. The outer frame is swingably and slideably engaged to the base frame. The inner frame is slideable on straight end portions of the outer frame and engages the base frame to prevent swinging and sliding of the rail portion.
