When a passenger places a piece of luggage into the overhead bin, it is associated with that passenger by detecting that the passenger has sat down in a particular seat after the luggage has been placed into the overhead bin. When it has been determined that the passenger has deboarded the vehicle, and the luggage has not been removed, reminder signals are sent.
