The truss includes two rising side sections extending upwards from a bottom plane of the truss, the side sections extending along a length of the truss and being joined together with cross braces. The escalator includes a subframe attached to an outer side of at least one side section of the truss, the subframe being arranged to receive an outer cladding of the escalator.
