More specifically, but without limitation, the present embodiments relate to a folding filet knife which is moveable between an extended position and a folded position. The blade has a length that is greater than the length of the handle. The filet knife has a handle with a second structure, for example a clip that can receive a portion of the blade that extends beyond the handle when the blade is in the folded position.
