Zusammenfassung:	A liquid crystal display device includes a first liquid crystal display panel that displays a color image, a second liquid crystal display panel that displays a monochrome image, and a display controller that controls the display of the first liquid crystal display panel and the display of the second liquid crystal display panel. The display controller switches the display of the second liquid crystal display panel between a monochrome display that displays a monochrome image and an all-white display. In a state in which the display of the second liquid crystal display panel is the monochrome display, when a response time between predetermined gradations is greater than or equal to a predetermined first response time, the display controller switches the display of the second liquid crystal display panel from the monochrome display to the all-white display.
