Zusammenfassung:	A method is provided of operating a vehicle radar system in which at least one radar sensor is arranged for detecting targets in the surroundings of the vehicle. At least one two-dimensional spectrum is provided which is specific for detecting the at least one radar sensor. A main processing step is then performed for target separation in which modeling on the basis of the at least one provided two-dimensional spectrum is performed by means of parameter estimation such that the targets are detected.
