Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is an electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device. The electronic device includes: a microphone, a communication interface, a memory for storing at least one instruction, and a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction to: determine whether a user is present around the electronic device based on voice data of the user obtained via the microphone, determine a device group including the electronic device and at least one other electronic device present around the electronic device, identify at least one device from the device group as a hub device to perform a voice recognition, and based on identifying the electronic device as the hub device, obtain, through the communication interface, a voice data of the user from one or more of the at least one other electronic device, and perform the voice recognition.
