The method includes administering to a patient, a composition of dextrose and ethanol. The composition can be administered in the form of an infusion. For patients suffering from respiratory complications, the disclosed method also provides for enhancing oxygen uptake by lungs and reducing oxygen resistance through the administration of air having helium gas and excited oxygen atoms.
