Zusammenfassung:	A recording apparatus includes a recording head configured to discharge a liquid onto a medium being transported in a transport direction, a platen disposed facing the recording head, and supporting the medium at a front face side, and a reinforcing member of a plate-like shape supporting the platen, in which the reinforcing member includes a first plate portion having a first face facing a back face of the platen, and a second plate portion bent, with respect to the first plate portion, in a direction intersecting the transport direction and opposite to the platen, in which a convex portion protruding from a side of the first face toward the platen is provided at an edge portion of a bent section between the first plate portion and the second plate portion, and the platen is supported at a top portion of the convex portion.
