Zusammenfassung:	A method to determine a stopping distance of an industrial truck comprises the steps of (i) measuring a distance traveled by the industrial truck and set points in time therebetween to determine a current vehicle speed, (ii) ascertaining at least one comparative value indicative of a relative speed change depending on at least one distance traveled during an acceleration of the industrial truck, and (iii) determining the stopping distance from the current vehicle speed and the ascertained comparative value.
