Zusammenfassung:Functionality is disclosed for providing status updates for email threads. A personal information management (PIM) server application receive a first message and a second message. The PIM server application can extract a first status value from the first message and a second status value from the second message, and can generate a status notification message that includes one or both of the first status value or the second status value. The PIM server application can also receive a third message subsequent to the first and second messages, and extract a third status value from the third message. Subsequently, the status notification message can be updated by replacing the first status value or the second status value with the third status value in the status notification message. In this manner, the status notification message can provide a consolidated view of the latest status of multiple email threads.
