Zusammenfassung:	A conveying apparatus for conveying a conveyance object in a conveying direction is provided. The conveying apparatus includes a detecting unit configured to detect positions of a plurality of portions in an orthogonal direction of the conveyance object during the conveyance of the conveyance object, the orthogonal direction being orthogonal to the conveying direction; and a determining unit configured to make a determination as to whether the conveyance object has been subjected to expansion or contraction in the orthogonal direction, based on detection results of the positions of the plurality of portions.
