Zusammenfassung:	This disclosure provides a method of preparing a hydrocolloid adhesive that includes the steps of mixing one or more components to produce a continuous phase, heating the continuous phased to a predetermined temperature between about 135° C. to 170° C., adding a stabilizer to the continuous phase, reducing a temperature of the continuous phase to a second predetermined temperature below 99° C., adding a discontinuous phase to the continuous phase at the second predetermined temperature, and mixing the components of the discontinuous phase and the continuous phase to produce a uniform mixture. Further, the hydrocolloid adhesive includes a super absorbent material and 0.05% to 2% by weight of a peroxide.
