Zusammenfassung:	The present disclosure relates to a reforming catalyst and a process for preparing the same. The acidic functionality of the catalyst is suppressed by using a chloride free alumina and coating the chloride free alumina with Group V B metal oxide in the catalyst, which helps in minimizing the cracking reactions and achieving higher selectivity for liquid hydrocarbons and aromatic hydrocarbons.
