The screw centrifuge processes a product so that solids conveyed out of the drum with the screw are removed from the product. A current angular speed and an average angular speed of the transmission input shaft for the screw over time are determined. The current and average angular speeds are evaluated and a warning signal and/or changing one or more operating parameters of the screw centrifuge is changed if dynamic changes in the angular speed are detected during the evaluation. |
