Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus and a method for providing a messenger service in an electronic device are provided. In the method, the messenger service with at least one counterpart electronic device is provided. First application setting information is determined during the messenger service. The first application setting information is transmitted to the at least one counterpart electronic device through the messenger service.
