The ear piece comprises a shroud having a generally ball-shaped hollow bulb made of soft resilient material, featuring a mid zone that is adapted for being softer to compression by the contact with ear canal wall than is the case with the end zones. The invention further provides an ear piece, an ear plug, and a component for a communications device.
