Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an optical system including, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens having a positive refractive power and having a meniscus shape with a convex surface facing the object side; and a second lens having a positive refractive power and having a meniscus shape with a convex surface facing the object side, wherein the first lens is made of a silicon material, wherein the second lens is made of one of a silicon material and a germanium material, and wherein a focal length of the entire optical system and a distance on an optical axis between the first lens and the second lens are each appropriately set.
