Zusammenfassung:	An open loop drying system includes an intake conduit and an exhaust conduit. The intake conduit and the exhaust conduit are each in fluid communication with an ambient environment. The open loop drying system also includes a heat pipe heat exchanger. The heat pipe heat exchanger includes a condenser section in operative communication with the intake conduit upstream of a wet chamber and an evaporator section in operative communication with the exhaust conduit downstream of the wet chamber. The open loop drying system may be provided in a dishwashing appliance.
