The liquid crystal display comprises a first substrate; a second substrate separated from thefirst substrate and stacked on the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate and containing liquid crystal molecules; a first polymer layerarranged between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer; a second polymer layer arranged between the second substrate and the liquid crystal layer; a plurality of protrusions arranged at atleast one of a first position between the first polymer layer and the liquid crystal layer and a second position between the second polymer layer and the liquid crystal layer, wherein the protrusionsinclude polymers of reactive mesogens, and the first polymer layer and the second polymer layer include polymers of a compound represented by formula 1.
