Zusammenfassung:	The disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for using a location token to locate a mobile device in a mapped environment. In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to identifying an AP in the environment using an AP location token. By finding a map from a map vendor which has a substantially identical map token, the AP and the map may be matched together. Once the AP is matched to the map, its exact location will be known. The location of a mobile device may be determined in relation to the AP's location. The same process may be used to identify the location of several APs on a map and thereby identify the location of the mobile device relative to the APs.
