Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device for driving a securing element into a substrate, having a mechanical energy store for storing mechanical energy; an energy transmitting element for transmitting energy from the mechanical energy store to the securing element; an energy transmitting device for transmitting energy from an energy source to the mechanical energy store; a housing with a first and a second housing part, said first housing part being connected to the second housing part in order to form an interior between the first and second housing part, the mechanical energy store being arranged in said interior; and an intermediate element, by means of which the mechanical energy store can be secured to the first housing part at least temporarily while energy is stored in the mechanical energy store.
