Zusammenfassung: | A process is provided which facilitates providing information to a user in an Internet telephony environment. A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message including a SIP message header is received from a user. A string pattern matching operation identifies a stored regular expression pattern which matches a character string in a user part of the SIP message header. One portion of the character string identifies an application mapped to the stored pattern. A further portion of the character string identifies one or more variables for use by the application. The application identifies information by applying the value of the one or more variables and communicates this to the user. The application may be on an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system. |
