The base layer has a suction port for drawing liquid through the liquid purifying element. At least the top layer and the base layer are interconnected by a connection. The base layer has a structured surface directed at least partially toward the top layer. A method for producing a liquid purification element, a device for extracting a liquid additive for exhaust-gas purification from a tank and a motor vehicle, are also provided.
