| Zusammenfassung: | A method for testing for the presence of a trivalent chromium conversion coating on a metal substrate is provided. According to one embodiment, the method comprises contacting a surface of the metal substrate with at least one solvent to generate a test solution, adding an indicator capable of detecting zirconium to the test solution in an amount sufficient to induce a color change of the test solution if zirconium is present in the test solution, and determining whether a color change indicating the presence of the conversion coating occurs in the test solution. |
