The water level sensor may be coupled to the printed circuit board via an electrically conductive metal element. The metal element may be coupled to the water level sensor via a press-fit assembly. The metal element may include a sharp-edged fastening contour configured to tear open the plastic of the water level sensor when the metal element is pressed against the water level sensor.
