Zusammenfassung:	An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a liquid crystal display including: a first substrate; a first polarizer disposed above or below the first substrate and having a first polarization axis; a passivation layer disposed on a data line; a unit pixel electrode that is disposed on the data line and includes a horizontal stem and a vertical stem crossing each other and a plurality of minute branch electrodes extending from the stems; a protrusion portion disposed on the passivation layer, surrounding an edge of the unit pixel electrode, and extending in a direction that forms an acute angle with the first polarization axis; and a liquid crystal layer formed on the first substrate and including liquid crystal molecules.
