Zusammenfassung:A motor vehicle body includes a rear wheel housing with a wheel well that accommodates a rear wheel and a wall section upwardly projecting form the wheel well. A C-pillar inner wall is fastened to the wall section along a first fastening zone and overlaps an opening formed in the wall section between the first fastening zone and wheel well. A weld joins the C-pillar inner wall and a C-pillar outer wall together at the level of the opening.
