METHOD FOR MONITORING PROCESS VARIABLES

The proposed method for monitoring process variables consists in periodically checking and storing the value of each parameter, checking the serviceability of the parameter transducers and the connection of the transducer circuits to the monitoring system, checking the validity of the parameter values during measurements, determining the state of the process by the results of the comparison of the actual parameter values with the reference values, comparing the state of the process at the current measurement interval with the state at the preceding measurement interval, determining the rate of the parameter changes, and forming warning signals if the rate of the parameter changes exceeds the limit allowable rate.
