Zusammenfassung:	The proposed method for determining parameters of media, specifically the dielectric permeability of liquid consists in exposing the liquid to a sounding signal by using a detector that is designed as a conductor that is partially immersed in the liquid, determining the physical length of the part of the conductor that is immersed in the liquid, determining the electromagnetic length of the said part of the conductor by the time interval between the transmission of the sounding signal and the reception of the reflected signal, and determining the dielectric permeability as the square of the ratio between the electromagnetic length and the physical length of the immersed part of the conductor.
