Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to welding engineering and can be used at manufacture of articles made of thin (up to 3 mm) sheets for reduction of residual stresses and strains in butt and overlapping joints. A cooling device for welding contains a conductor in the form of a box filled with cooling fluid, in which a copper roller with annular groove and a winding from porous material (glass wool, mineral wool) are located and which is fixed on the rod by nuts and two watertight glands. The cooling device for welding allows decreasing welding stresses and deformations via heat removal at welding, it contributes to formation of the reverse side (root) of the welded seam, to improvement of the structure of welded joint, it easily attached to the welding tractor.
