Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the compact-material composition for the ladle cast-iron treatment. The compact-material contains powdery stuff-core from the slagmetal components, which contain magnesium and staurolite, which are enclosed in the steel shell in the form of wire and/or strip. Besides, the slagmetal components are additionally contain staurolite at the following ratio of components : magnesium : carbonaceous material : staurolite which is equal to 1 : (0.5-1.0) : (5-7). The invention provides decreasing in magnesium consumption during the ladle cast-iron treatment.
