Zusammenfassung:The proposed method for testing and calibrating a gas meter connected to a gas flow controller consists in filling the measuring vessel with cooled compressed gas, measuring the temperature and absolute pressure of the gas in the measuring vessel and at the inlet of the gas flow controller, determining the gas compressibility factor, heating the gas in the measuring vessel, supplying the heated compressed gas to the tested gas meter via the gas flow controller, determining, within a specified time interval, the temperature and absolute pressure of the gas in the measuring vessel, at the inlet of the gas flow controller, and at the inlet of the tested gas meter, determining the gas compressibility factor at the end of the said time interval,comparing the volume of the gas in the measuring vessel with the volume of the gas passed through the gas meter, and determining the volumetric gas flow rate through the gas meter. The proposed method provides a possibility to increase measurement accuracy and productivity.
