SEPARATOR FOR GAS CLEANING

A separator for gas cleaning is intended for separation of liquid from gas flow, catching aerosol, fine dispersed and solid particles from the gas flow in the field of action of centrifugal forces. The separator consists of vertical cylindrical housing, in which separation plates are placed. In the unit of gas-liquid mixture inlet a convergent tube with branch pipe is coaxially installed, part of which fits closely to the internal wall of housing. The branch pipe has vertical oval cross section. Centrifugal separation elements are fixed on the separation plates, each of which contains inlet duct and separation branch pipe equipped with a diffuser. The inlets of the centrifugal separation elements are directed towards the twisted flow of gas and are made at an angle of 30-70o relative to their longitudinal axis. A convergent nozzle is installed above at least one separation plate. Its lower edge envelops the diffusers of the centrifugal separation elements, and upper edge envelops the inlets of inlet ducts of centrifugal separation elements installed on separation plate located above.
