Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to the medical equipment, namely to biomechanics and may be used in the practice of the prosthesis-making and orthopedic facilities in manufacturing the ortheses for scoliosis patients. According to the invention, the angles between the selected spinous processes of the vertebrae are performed by the probe connected to the processing complex. The probe is placed at the apex of the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra, and then to the spinous process of the vertebra representing the top point of the curvature. The processing complex plots the imaginary line connecting these reference points, and then the perpendicular is plotted from the apex of the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra. The angle between these two lines is measured. The method allows one for measuring the angle of the backbone curvature referring to the most objective lines that may be selected for measuring scoliosis. Moreover, such lines are not available for the measurements when the mechanical means are used. The method is useful for assessing the dynamics of the changes in the course of the treatment without the invasive procedures. |
