Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the medicine and chemical-and-pharmaceutical industry. The process for manufacturing herbal medicinal composition possessing the sedative activity comprises grinding of the herbal raw material followed by extraction. The process comprises the following stages: extraction with hot water, the separation of the liquid extract from the extraction cake, the filtration, the evaporation of the liquid fraction, the second filtration, and the drying. The extract obtained is then mixed with the excipient. The following herbal ingredients are used: the herb of the motherwort, the cones of the hop, the leaves of the peppermint, the roots and the rhizomes of the valerian, and theroots of the licorice.
