FOAM APPARATUS

A foam producing apparatus consists of a housing equipped with branch pipes for supply and discharge and branch pipes for supply and discharge of liquid located in the housing of perforated plates andstabilizer of foam layer. The stabilizer of foam layer is made of two strips of twisted corrugated material, which are located in such a manner that the corrugations of adjacent strips intersect. The corrugated strips of stabilizer are perforated. The stabilizer of foam layer functions both as stabilizer preventing wave development on the surface of plate and forming the foam developed structure, and as turbulence promoter of gas-liquid medium on the plate and transverse mixing on it. The invention allows to increase the effectiveness of the process of cleaning gases, decrease the power consumption due to the decrease of droplet entrainment, and intensify the heat-mass exchange and increase the output of apparatus due to the agitation of gas-liquid medium and organization of transverse mixing on internal elements of apparatus.
