Zusammenfassung:	Method of mechanical treatment of anisotropic single crystals, in particular, monoclinic syngony, includes the orientation of single crystals followed by grinding and polishing. Orientation is accomplished relative to two opposite segments of the surface of the ingress of the plane of cleavage on the area of large diameter of cross section of the cylinder and prior to grinding said segments are moved away, in this case is accomplished the motion of abrasive particles of tool from the side of the sharp angle of ingress of the plane of cleavage to the surface.
