Zusammenfassung:The method for preventing the recurrence of drug and alcohol addiction comprises transcerebral electrophoresis of pharmaceuticals using bilateral electrodes. The cathode active for dimedrol is attached in the forehead over the superciliary arches. The anode active for analgin is attached at the back in the area of the seventh cervical vertebra. Thecurrent gradient 1.5-5 mA is used once or twice a day with exposure time of 25-30 minutes. The duration of the treatment is assessed upon the monitoring of the pain sensitivity threshold. The 2-3-fold increase in the threshold as compared to the initial value is an indication for termination of the treatment.
