Zusammenfassung:The proposed method for predicting the propagation of polluting substances over channels with hydrodynamical flows implies performing hydrodynamical explorations, analyzing samples for determining content of chemical elements and compounds that are characteristic of polluting substances, and estimating the degree of pollution from the analysis results. The method consists in developing the model of propagation of polluting substances in fractured and porous medium, with consideration for convection processes on the boundary areas, and, for this purpose, determining the volume of surface and underground water that can be polluted, the concentration of polluting substances, the rate of molecular diffusion of substances in bearing rocks, the depth of deposition of the polluting substance source, and the rate of water inflow. By solving the differential equation that describes the diffusion motion of polluting substances, the charts are plotted that characterize variations of the concentration of polluting substances in underground water as a function of time and depth. By using the said charts and extrapolation methods, the parameters are determined that characterize the propagation of polluting substances.
