Zusammenfassung:	The proposed method of measuring limiting wetting angle of a surface consists in directing a planar light beam to the boundary between the solid body and liquid in order to provide illumination of adjacent areas of the surfaces of the solid body and liquid, determining the parameters that characterize the distribution of the light radiation intensity in light reflection or refraction within the said areas, transforming two light beams that are produced in the light reflection or refraction, so that a shade area is formed, determining the angle position of the shade boundary line and the coordinates of the shade boundary line points, an then calculating the limiting wetting angle according to specified equations.
