Zusammenfassung:	A method for controlling power of an internal combustion engine relates to the area of machine building. In the method the engine is equipped with an electronic system of injection, by means of this one there is provided programmed switching-off of working cycles. The program of switching off the working cycles provides sane number of those for each of the cylinders of the engine, by sequential displacement, and the number of working cycles functioning in one cylinder, irrespectively of the conditions and intensity of operation of the vehicle is determined through economic and toxic characteristics of the engine and its wear.
