MEDIUM FOR CULTURING ZYGOTES OF COWS IN EARLY STAGES OF IN VITRO DEVELOPMENT

The medium for culturing the zygotes of the cows in the early stages of in vitro development comprises the typical synthetic medium RPMI-1640, the fetal serum, the estrus serum of cows, the cells of the granulose layer of the follicles, insulin, and heparin. In addition, the homogenate of the mucous from the upper third of the uterine horn is used as the component of the medium. The mass content (in %) of the ingredients are such as follows: the fetal serum: 8-12; the estrus serum of cows: 8-12; the cells of the granulose layer of the follicles: 5-7 millions per 1 ml; insulin (40 U/ml): 0.25-0.35; heparin (5 000 U): 0.0005-0.0015; homogenate of the mucous from the upper third of the uterus: 8-12; synthetic medium RPMI-1640: up to 100 %.
