METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCTION OF METAL POWDERS

The method for production of metal powders consists in centrifugal dispersion of the melt supplied into the sprayer under pressure. The process is carried out by means of formation of great number of mechanical contacts of consumable electrode with a surface of revolution, and electric charge appearing at short circuit fuses contacting surfaces andinstantly throws out cooled melt under action of force of electric pulse and throwing off tangential stresses. The device for production of metal powders contains melter, feeder and sprayer. The device for implementation of the method is equipped with disk and consumable electrodes, and consumable electrodes are located outside the zone of output of finished product at the distance defined by the speed of rotation of disk, and at the distance of its location from the center, and submission of electrodes is adjusted by change of resistance in electric circuit.
