Zusammenfassung:	The method for manufacturing the softening insert for lower limb prosthesis provides for casting the siloxane composition, molding the insert, polymerizing the composition, and cutting the edges of the semifinished item. The siloxane composition comprises SCTN rubber of A and G grades, amorphous silica, polymethyl siloxane PMS-200 and PMS-400, catalyst K-18. The composition is polymerized for 20-30 minutes at the room temperature against the gypsum positive of the stump. Then 2-4 reinforcing sheaths are put onto the positive with the formed internal layer. The sheaths are made from the knitted tube or nylon tube. The reinforcing sheaths are then soaked with the siloxane composition under the same conditions and polymerized for 40-60 minutes.
