The iron is protected by the polymeric carbohydrate layer of the cluster substances. The preparation also contains the chelates of the biotic metals (copper, cobalt, zinc), polymaltose or hydroxyethyl polymaltose M=3000-100000 (1,4-1,6-bonds), phosphates, citrates, phenol, and water. Selenium is used as organometallic substance.
