Zusammenfassung: | A method for repair of fuel tanks of helicopters, according to which following operations are performed: removal of a fuel tank from airframe, determination of damaged areas of on its body, removal of paint and traces of possible corrosion on the outside of body of fuel tank in damaged areas and around them, manufacturing from an aluminum alloy of compensating patches with an overlap for each damage, degreasing the surface of tank and one of the sides of compensating patches, preparing a metal-polymer paste as a mixture of base and activator in the proportions and manner specified in the accompanying documentation for the set of components of metal-polymer paste, application of the prepared metal-polymer paste on the damaged areas and degreased sides of compensating patches, application of the compensating patches by side with deposited metal-polymer paste on appropriate damaged areas providing their firm adherence, removal, in case of need, of any excess paste by a solvent specified in the accompanying documentation for the set of components of metal-polymer paste, tightness control of fuel tank after curing and hardening of metal-polymer paste, preparing the repaired surfaces of body of fuel tank by grinding and priming for paint coating, application of paint coating, mounting of fuel tank on the airframe. The sheet of Al-Mg alloy with thickness of 0.5- is used as a material for compensating patches. After application of the compensatory patches on the damaged areas a pressure is created with loads on the compensating patches followed by application of vibration loads to the body of fuel tanks from 4 to 6 minutes after installation of the loads. Duration of application of vibration loads is inversely proportional to the size of through damages of fuel tank body. Sinusoidal vibrations with a frequency of (50 ± 5) Hz and acceleration amplitude of (0.03 ± 0.1) m/sare used as vibratory loads on the body of fuel tanks.
