Zusammenfassung:	The proposed device for checking the shape of an article contains a screen, a system for illuminating the article and the screen, a video camera designed for shooting light stripe images on the article and the screen, and a processor designed for comparing the shape of the light stripes on the article with the shape of the reference light stripes displayed on the screen. The illumination system contains a scanning illumination unit for the article and an illumination unit for the screen. The screen illumination unit contains elements for deviating the light beam and scanning the screen surface in two mutually perpendicular planes.
