Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for heating billets in the continuous furnace before rolling. The method for heating billets in the continuous furnace involves loading billets into the furnace, disposing thereof on the bottom, supplying fuel to burners with subsequent combustion thereof, selection of used combustion products at the furnace input and heating air using the heat thereof, supplying heated air to burners. The heated air at an amount of 0.1-0.25 of consumption thereof is supplied to burners through nozzles on billets to be loaded at the temperature equal or less to that of heated air. The invention provides quality heating billets, prevention of burning-off and welding thereof, reduction of fuel rate in heating billets by 5-6%, decrease of defective articles by 0.5-0.6% and reduction of refractories consumption for furnace repair by 10-15 %.
