Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the ferrous metallurgy, in particular û to the method for melting steel in the open-hearth furnace. A method for melting steel in the open-hearth furnace involves loading the metal scrap, addition of the aggregate to the bathas solid heat carrier of the secondary aluminium production waste. At that as the secondary aluminium production waste it is used the alumoflux of slag screenings with a density of 0.5-1.2 of the furnace slag density. The alumoflux is incorporated atthe temperature of metal 0.9-0.98 of the metal temperature at the outlet of furnace, and consumption thereof is maintained by 0.003-0.007 of the bulk of metal scrap loaded to the furnace. The invention provides an efficient, stable course of melting,creation of exothermal effect, rarefying slag, deoxidizing the steel melt, increase in the furnace output and reduction of cast iron and ferroalloys consumption.
